Today is 'N' Day ...

I dropped Cluny off at the vet this morning for the neuter surgery. *We* were not amused.

Did you ever have the feeling ...

That someone is not telling you everything?

These are the things that I know for sure. Last week, Mom and I went to the Vet. I’ve been to the Vet before, but this time it was different. I didn’t visit with Dr Donovan, just one of the Vet Techs. Most of the discussion went ~phew~ right over my head, but it sounds to me like we are planning my very first sleepover.

While away at ‘camp’ ... I’m going to lose my dewclaws. No biggie, I wasn’t really all that attached (heh-heh-heh) to my vestigial digits anyway. Next up … snack time. Mom and Dad talked about getting me my very own ‘chip’ … potato chips, chocolate chips, micro chips, whatever … they all sound pretty tasty to me. Finally, there is a lot of discussion about fixing me! I took inventory and all seems to be in working order. I just gotta ask, if nothing is broken, what’s going to get fixed?

But back to the business at hand, do you think I’ll need a sleeping bag?

Today Is a Birthday ... We Wonder for Whom ...

Gotta love the Big John and Sparky Birthday Song ...

Friday is Dee-Dee's birthday, so she and Kennie came by yesterday for an audience with moi ... or maybe it was to enjoy a celebratory dinner with the folks ...

I was able to wish her an early Happy Birthday and give her a big, wet birthday kiss ~smack~

It's a Dog Eat Plant World

We've previously discussed my affinity for gardening. Both Mum and Dad are doing their best to keep me from tearing up the sod in the backyard. However, in an effort to feed the horticulturist in me, I have found another outlet ... houseplants.

As any good gardener knows, drainage is important. In order to facilitate drainage of the potted plants, Mom adds a few styrofoam packing peanuts to the dirt. Over time, these peanuts will float to the top of the potting soil and an ever-vigilant Scottie can liberate them from their planters.

I think it's important to help the packing peanuts make their escape. Problem is ... the trail of potting soil gives me away *everytime*.

So Pun Intended ...

I do not understand what it is about girls and purses. Mom got a new one yesterday ... and she's REALLY excited about it.

It's a fancy-schmancy designer bag called a ... are you ready for this ... Cluny and Bourke ... heh-heh-heh, I crack myself up !

Just so you know ... I cannot take sole credit for this one. Cassee Spellmeyer writes *all* my material ...

Here It Is ... Your Moment of Zen

I am learning to channel my my inner television critic. My favorite shows involve animals. This brand of TV will generally warrant my attention. Startling noises (on the news or some commercials) will also entice me to watch.

Saturday Night we caught a thoroughly engrossing documentary about bulls.

Thus, Mom and Dad are discussing the healthy limits of my TV time.

Taps

It can be pretty tough to be one of my toys. A few of my favorites have gone on to their great reward. A rendition of taps, please, for all of my toys that must now Rest In Peace: Cow, Dog, Llama, Tennis Ball, Hedgehog.

These are my toys that have been rendered first aid or are presently on life support: Gator (eye injury and an open neck wound), Triangle (open fracture and relieved of most of the stuffing), Cow II (gaping head wound and a hornectomy), Frog (deep tissue injury).

Kong, however, is indestructible.

  • Mounted the block
These are the things *I* contributed:
  • Inspiration
  • Slept in the sewing studio
  • Sunned myself in the sewing studio
  • Slept in the sewing studio
  • Chewed on my hoofy
  • Slept in the sewing studio
  • Kept Mom company

And here's Nana with her quilt.
